Russell Grant's Daily Horoscopes for Friday 30th March 2012

.
Aries (Mar21/Apr20) Carrying out a family tradition is bittersweet. In some ways, you are glad to be engaging in activities you loved as a child. In others, you are sad to be continuing without a beloved relative. Take a trip down memory lane. Dig out old photo albums and reminisce with people who share your memories. It's possible these tales will weave themselves into a fictional story. If you've ever wanted to write a book, you have the seeds of a great plot. Follow it through!
.
Taurus (Apr21/May21) You have an excellent memory. When somebody tries to fool you into thinking they said one thing when they did another, you are not fooled. Of course, challenging an authority figure in public is difficult, but it's the only way to stop their abuses. An artistic friend will invite you away to a retreat. You could benefit from a break. It may be necessary to leave early for the sake of work, but even a short time away will be enjoyable.
.
Gemini (May22/Jun21) As a general rule, you're not very extravagant, except when it comes to your home and family. Beware of trying to buy a youngster's affection with an expensive gadget. It may be better to tell them to save for it, or to wait until they are older to obtain such a costly item. Knowing the value of things is one of the most important lessons you can teach a child. Just because other young people of their age have a fancy phone doesn't mean they need one.
.
Cancer (Jun22/Jul23) You've always been highly sensitive, and it's especially true now. Facing off with an imposing authority figure is scary, but it must be done. If you continue to keep your feelings a secret, you'll become bogged down with resentment. You're among the most capable people in the organisation. If the powers that be don't recognise this, then you should move on. Chances are they are fully aware of your talent and will give you a raise when you demand one.
.
Leo (Jul24/Aug23) Beware of oversensitivity. Someone who makes a teasing remark is actually expressing affection. At times, you are so intent on protecting your dignity that you forget your sense of humour. If you can't stop dwelling on a perceived slight, tell a perceptive friend about the situation. Their feedback will be invaluable. The last thing you need is to make a hurtful remark to somebody who should be your ally. Tread carefully, as there is a lot at stake here.
.
Virgo (Aug24/Sep23) You don't feel like contributing to a group project. If you look as if you're being uncooperative you'll miss a golden opportunity. Push yourself to brainstorm with your colleagues, and be enthusiastic and encouraging. It's only a temporary situation, but it will be used as a yardstick by which to measure your character. A cheque you were expecting won't arrive in time, forcing you to do some last minute budget juggling.
.
Libra (Sep24/Oct23) Projecting a respectable, professional image is critical to your success. You might not feel like dressing up for work, but it's important to do so. Don't worry if your colleagues defy the dress code. In time, they will be reprimanded for their behaviour, while you'll be in the clear. Besides, you never know who will show up when you're working. Wearing crisp, attractive clothes will make a terrific impression, and could even lead to a job offer.
.
Scorpio (Oct24/Nov22) You feel very strongly about a political, social, or cultural issue. Not everyone shares your concern. Be selective about discussing this matter, especially when you're at work. You're better off maintaining friendly but formal relationships with colleagues than drawing battle lines. Besides, you don't want your boss to think you're causing trouble. What you do in your private life is one matter, but how you behave while you're on the clock is another.
.
Sagittarius (Nov23/Dec21) Normally, you're eager to embrace change. This situation may be a little different. Someone you love is leaving the group, and you can't help but take it personally. If the two of you have grown apart give them a chance to start afresh somewhere new. In time, the hurt feelings you've caused each other will start to heal, allowing you to resume your relationship. For now be respectful and allow for a little breathing room.
.
Capricorn (Dec22/Jan20) No matter how much you want to save your best friend or partner from pain, it simply isn't possible. They'll have to endure this ordeal by themselves. Of course, you'll be on hand to lend what comfort and support you can. Still, you feel terribly important. Never underestimate the power of unconditional love. Simply knowing you are there will reduce yours loved one's suffering. Good news from a relative or neighbour relieves you of certain chores.
.
Aquarius (Jan21/Feb19) There's nothing wrong with being emotionally involved with work. The problem is when you take feelings home from the office. Family members have been concerned by your short temper. It's probably the result of an upsetting situation with a colleague. You're tired of being upstaged by someone with less talent. Maybe it's time to schedule a meeting with your boss, to let them know who is really doing all the work, but getting none of the credit.
.
Pisces (Feb20/Mar20) Spending time with your amour is both exciting and stressful. Friends resent how much care and attention you give to your beloved. They are starting to feel as if you have forgotten their importance to your life. While nothing could be further from the truth, you must admit you have a tendency to favour romance over friendship. Make some more room in your schedule for the people who kept you entertained while you were single.
